CUPS and the Calgary Stampeders have enjoyed a partnership for more than two decades.

The highlight of the relationship is the annual CUPS/Calgary Stampeders Kickoff Breakfast, presented by Apache Canada, which brings together the Calgary Stampeders and the city’s corporate community in an effort to raise money and awareness for CUPS.

Stamps players, coaches and alumni, attend the annual event and the breakfast features fundraising activities including an auction, raffle and 50/50 draw.

The Stamps are also pleased to take part in the annual dinner put on by CUPS and the Knox United Church. The event provides a holiday meal for the less fortunate and dozens of community volunteers provide service, hospitality and good cheer for those in attendance.

In addition, the Stampeders assist CUPS by collecting toiletry items throughout the course of the season. Over the years, hundreds of pounds of toiletries have been collected and distributed through the program.

The Stampeders’ association with CUPS has helped generate more than $1,000,000 for the agency over the past 25 years. Stamps offensive lineman Brad Erdos is the team’s new player representative in this lasting partnership.
